Stacey Acevero

Stacey Acevero is Island Vibes Magazine’s Que Linda Model for November. Stacey resides in the Washington DC area, where she was born and raised. Her parents were both born and raised on the Caribbean Island of Trinidad. Stacey is a Senior at University of Maryland, pursuing her degree in Communications. When she graduates, she wants to have a career working with computers and databases and has aspirations in working for a PR Firm tying in technology to help the advancement of the PR industry. Stacey is currently doing just that, working as a Webmaster for a PR Software Development Company where she manages a database for all of North America and Canada.

Outside of her work and education, Stacey also stays busy modeling. Her beauty and talent is sought after by many Designers and Photographers for fashion shows and print opportunities. One of her most memorable achievements in modeling was being featured on the front page of Tunerzine.com, a performance parts line magazine, where she was their Model of the Month. Stacey also walks the runway and has been a part of numerous fashion shows. Two of which she particularly spoke of include the popular Deepak Perwani’s Fashion Show featuring Indian Crafted Gowns and benefiting children in Pakistan, along with The Walk of Love Fashion Show benefiting the Sandtown Habitat for Humanity charity.

Stacey lives a very full life. From all the studying, working, and modeling, she still finds time to do what she loves the most, that being working on her car. Yes, she is an automotive enthusiast, and has a great passion for modifying and enhancing her ride, giving it a unique sound, style, and performance. Some may find it surprising that she does all the modifications herself or with little help. Stacey takes a lot of pride in that. She describes herself as a “gigantic kid” and also enjoys video games, watching sports, and traveling. Her favorite trips have been to Cancun, the Philippines, and of course Trinidad where she still has family.

Ten years from now, Stacey wants to have had a lucrative modeling career and working her dream job. Tying all we have learned about her together, it’s not surprising to hear her say that her dream job would be working for Nissan Corporation in their Communications or PR department. Like many, she has ambitions to eventually buy her Mom a new house.
